Steampunk Leather Medic Bracer by veririaa Steampunk Leather Medic Bracer by veririaa
This is my second leather piece created solely by yours truly, ladies and gents. Using a Butterick pattern, no less! Shocking, I know, but I discovered it one day at the local JoAnne Fabrics store, numbered 5371.

I made this to pair with my previously-posted bracer/cuff. The inspiration came from various other medic bracers on etsy, DA and google images. I was also looking for things to wear to Rocky Horror tomorrow, as the theme night is Zombie Night. Well, every Zombie needs a Zombie hunter! Me and my husband will be dressing the part, of course; my costume will lean more towards a medic/scientist though.

Aside from that, I used grommets, fasteners, two syringe looking ink refillers, and a Fleur-de-lis pin -- only because I have no Rod of Asclepius pin. I realize of course that I could draw, paint or otherwise embellish the bracer with one. However I am too chicken right now, I don't want to mess it up, because I am very pleased how the whole thing came out!
